Florida League Programs

The Florida League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a platform for baseball players to develop in a competitive environment. Below is a summary of programs currently offered.

HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION

"College Baseball Starts Now"

The Florida League High School Division focuses on developing current high school baseball players for college and professional baseball utilizing a player focused approach.  Development, instruction, and quality coaching are key components of this approach which also includes a strong, competitive tournament schedule.

Players in the High School Division have unrivaled access to college baseball programs through the Florida League. The League brings its direct connections with those colleges to help players in the High School Division find a place to play college baseball.

FUTURES WOOD-BAT LEAGUE (FWL)

The FWL is for baseball players who have signed a national letter of intent, verbally committed, or currently play college baseball. The FWL offers college level competition, an opportunity to hone skills as a result of smaller rosters, and uses many of the same fields as the Florida League College Division.

For graduating high school seniors, the FWL represents an opportunity to play baseball at a collegiate level prior to your first semester on campus. Current college players who play in the FWL may have the opportunity to get "called-up" to the Florida League at any point during the season. The FWL allows players to remain local, minimize travel to games, and play competitive baseball near home.

COLLEGIATE DIVISION

The College Division was founded in 2004 and is the original division of the Florida League. This division is partially funded by Major League Baseball and works very closely with players and coaches from over 200 schools.

The mission of this division is to pit the top college baseball players in the country against each other to provide the best amateur baseball in the country. To date, over 280 players have been drafted out of the college division after 11 seasons. The mission also has a community focus as all of the games are family friendly and teams are closely involved with several organizations within their respective city.
