ABOUT FLHS BASEBALL

Florida League High School Baseball (FLHS Baseball) is the high school division of the Florida League.

FLHS Baseball focuses on developing current high school baseball players for college and professional baseball.  Development, instruction, and quality coaching leads into a strong, competitive tournament schedule.

Focus on Player Development

FLHS Baseball is player focused. Focusing on player development is an inherent part of the Florida League’s long history of making player development paramount.

FLHS Baseball players receive more than just a tournament schedule. Teams have practices, players have hitting clinics, pitchers have pitching clinics, and players have college and instructional seminars which are standard and included in the price to participate.  All FLHS Baseball decisions are made based on one common standard, “what is best for our players?” ensuring opportunity is given to players first, before the organization.

Quality Instruction

The most important way to ensure the player experience is valuable is to offer quality instruction from coaches who are knowledgeable and can relate through past experience.

Our coaches will have college and professional baseball experience ensuring they can elevate players and bring advanced baseball knowledge to practices and game situations.  Above all, the coaches in the program embrace their role as an instructor striving to enhance player skills.

Unmatched Access to College Coaches

A major differentiator FLHS Baseball brings is unmatched access to college baseball programs and coaches. The Florida League is uniquely positioned to connect with colleges because of the number of college players the league hosts each season.  By leveraging the Florida League’s relationships with college coaches, FLHS Baseball is proactive in promoting it’s players to those same coaches.  Players receive regular evaluations that are sent to schools of their choice.

During the summer months, players have the opportunity to work out with the Florida League’s college teams and coaches before games, giving them a taste of what it is like to play baseball at the next level.  Players also have the opportunity to build relationships with the college players and learn the work habits needed to play collegiate baseball.  All Florida League High School players receive free admission into all Florida League College Division games – allowing players to see as much baseball as they can.
